Lindsay Lohan Was Arrested Again For Fighting In NYC; Will Be Charged In Crash Case Too

When Lindsay Lohan was cast as the lead in Liz & Dick, everyone including its producers expected it would go the way of Inferno with her spending so much more time in jail than in production she would never fulfill the part.
She actually completed the Lifetime shoot though, even if she did botch the press tour by lying to Barbara Walters and by arriving two-hours late to the premiere. Yet still, Liz & Dick executive producer Larry Thompson was unforgiving and told media she’s a handful and a gamble. Basically, the movie’s success was always a long shot: “Producing a movie with Lindsay is not for the faint of heart. I turned 50 shades of white actually during the production,” said Thompson. “We had serious challenges to deal with due to her probation and her history. Therefore we had to make a deal where there were pages and pages of ‘what if’ clauses. There never was a ‘what if she can act’ clause. It was about, ‘What if there is a car accident? What if there is a violation of her probation [and she’s] incarcerated?’ Those ‘what ifs’ were plenty. She might be the most insured actress who ever walked on a soundstage. We tried to insure ourselves against things that could and, in fact, did happen. [Also] I was financially at risk myself. It was a challenge.”
And, of course, she’s actually in trouble because of a car crash, she violated probation, and it looks like she’s going to jail, but it happened after the premiere which was Thompson’s only break.
Because it’s a whopping four days after the Lifetime premiere underwhelmed with viewer numbers and underwhelmed critics and she’s being charged with a myriad of crimes.
Lohan was at New York City’s Club Avenue at around 4 a.m. ET Thursday, when she turned to 28-year-old Tiffany Eve Mitchell of West Palm Beach, Florida in another booth and said “Give me my space,” shortly after which Lohan allegedly punched Mitchell. Lohan tried to flee the scene, again, but her car was intercepted by police who arrested her on the spot while she was heard wailing ”Are you kidding me!” She was later booked and released for third degree misdemeanor assault which could result in another probation violation. Here is video of her arrest.
In related news pertaining to the crash about which she lied to police earlier this year, Lohan will reportedly be charged with three crimes today including: giving false information to an officer, punishable by up to 6 months in jail; obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty, punishable by 1 year in jail; reckless driving, punishable by 90 days in jail. Which means an almost certain probation violation because she’s required to obey all laws.
Lastly, National Enquirer says Lohan’s recent failures may send her down another shame-spiral of booze and drugs.
“Lindsay hoped this movie would be her comeback,” said one Hollywood insider.“Instead, it looks like it’s going to make her a punch line again, and that’s not good. After this, the only roles that producers will be calling her to play are ‘Lindsay Lohan, Hollywood train wreck’ types, and that’s the last thing she wanted. This could put her in a really bad place.”
“Lindsay was trying so hard to improve her reputation and get producers to take her seriously,” a family friend added. “She thought that this role as Elizabeth Taylor would be an award-winning performance and that everyone would forget about her past troubles, but it has turned out to be just the opposite. She’s devastated. The fear is that if more movie or TV jobs don’t materialize, Lindsay is going to drown her sorrows in booze or drugs. Her friends are scared to death.” – via National Enquirer.
