LuAnn De Lesseps Splits From Boyfriend Jacques Azoulay

LuAnn de Lesseps first appeared on The Real Housewives of New York when the show debuted in 2008. At the time, she was married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps, a descendant of a developer of the Suez Canal, but just one year later, the pair split. Following LuAnn’s divorce, she went on to meet and fall in love with French wine distributor Jacques Azoulay who is 10 years her junior. Three years later, the pair has parted ways.
“They are at different points in their life now and have mutually agreed its best,” LuAnn’s rep confirms to Life & Style. “LuAnn is upset, but it’s amicable and they remain friends. Jacques has been a wonderful part of her life.”
Just one year ago, things between LuAnn and her man seemed to be heading towards marriage — and a family. LuAnn had even begun fertility treatments to try to jumpstart the process.
“We’d love for it to happen,” LuAnn said at the time. “I know Jacques would be a great father. I’ve been back and forth about the whole thing over and over, but for me, the advantages of having another child and having a life with Jacques and being able to have a family with him outweigh the disadvantages.”
Back in 2010, when their relationship began, LuAnn was over the moon with the new love in her life, telling People Magazine, “I feel very lucky. The first time I saw him, I was like, ‘Wow!’ He’s a wow kind of guy. He’s just lovely. I never thought I would be lucky enough to find somebody like that again in my life.”
