Is Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June Shannon Going To Appear on Dancing With the Stars?

The season 16 cast of Dancing With the Stars will be announced on February 26 on Good Morning America. Ahead of which are speculative reports about who will be joining the new cast.

Rumours include a number of sportsmen and reality stars in whom producers are reportedly interested. NYDN suggests boxer Victor Ortiz, the Bachelorette’s Emily Maynard, and other reality stars Kourtney Kardashian and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’s June “Mama”  Shannon. The latter of whom is grabbing headlines and proving divisive with fans of the show; some would be excited to see her compete, whereas others, like the whole Wendy Williams Show audience, are horrified because she’s not a “star.”

This is the season producers also offered places to disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong and disgraced actress Lindsay Lohan, both of whom passed on the offers.

A rep for TLC told The Huffington Post the rumours about Mama are untrue, so there’s no way to know until the announcement on GMA.

Shannon recently lost over 100 lbs without trying, she told the Huffington Post: ”I have lost 115 pounds, but that’s because I’m on the go. We love fried food, but I lost that weight because I’m more active doing things.”
