Mariah Carey’s Delivery: Doctors Tending To Lighting, Husband Was “Production Manager”
September 8, 2011 by Hollywoodite
Mariah Carey made sure her delivery was a circus of distractions and no one paying attention to the two babies coming out of her.
Rather than focus on the birth, or the health of her or her babies, Carey had doctors in the delivery room adjusting lights and she had her husband act as the day’s production manager. Nick Cannon tended to the day’s music and coordinated everything asked by his wife. You’d think the focus would be on the birth itself, but it seemed to be on satiating every one of Carey’s nonsense demands. She wanted audio of herself singing at Madison Square Garden playing as the twins were born so they’d be born to a round of applause. And she wanted everything to be right with the filming of the birth… because there are no do-overs!
This information comes from the mouth of Nick Cannon, during an interview with The Talk. He seems to have no idea what an a**hole this makes his wife sound.
“It was definitely over the top. I was the production manager of the whole production. I was the DJ. I had the camera on one hand. The lighting had to be perfect. My wife was like, ‘if you’ve got a camera, you make sure the lighting is right.’ The doctors were adjusting the lights. But it was amazing because she wanted a certain song to be playing when the babies came out. She wanted Fantasy, from her live performance from Madison Square Gardens so they could come out to a round of applause. It was a production, holding the camera, hitting record.” – via The Daily Mail.
