Kate Middleton Photoshopped For Marie Claire South Africa Cover

July 17, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Kate Middleton is on the cover of Marie Claire South Africa August 2012 for which she did not pose.

The cover says: “Fan art tribute: Fashion’s new royal icon wears SA’s best local designs (of course she doesn’t but she should).”

The cover is… honest. But poorly done; a shoddy idea, shoddily executed. Moreover, AS IF a royal would pose for anyone other than Vogue, or a British edition of a Conde Naste publication. AS IF she would slum on the cover of Marie Claire for a foreign edition. But Marie Claire went ahead and released the kind of composite that is usually beneath British supermarket tabloids like NOW Magazine.

Editor Aspasia Karras tells the UK’s Telegraph newspaper: “We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern day princess, which is why we elected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue. The cover is actually a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion’s new royal icon.”
