Miley Cyrus Topless Picture: Nude Photo Shoot Sitting In The Bath

A photo began circulating last night of Miley Cyrus posing nude in the bathtub.

Without looking for its origin or confirming first, people began sharing the photo and their assumptions about how it ended up online. People conjectured that it was hacked, that it was leaked from a private collection, or that it was intended as a gift for boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. None of those guesses were true.

Rumours circulated for several hours before someone did some fact-checking and discovered, yes, it’s a real photo. As in, it’s not Photoshopped or a hoax. And it’s from a real shoot in which she’s basically naked, displaying her dream catcher tattoo and side-boob, of her own volition (as opposed to, say, paparazzi sneaking a photo or over-sharing on Twitter where she’s not wearing a bra either).

The photo is a year-old outtake shot by celebrity photographer Vijat Mohindra for the Gypsy Heart Tour summer 2011. Moreover, it’s publicly available on Mohindra’s own website along with the rest of the shoot.
