Miley Cyrus Denies Commenting On Demi Moore Drug Scandal
February 7, 2012 by Hollywoodite
On February 4, RadarOnline.com claimed that Miley Cyrus issued a statement about Demi Moore’s drug and emotional issues.
The ill-worded statement was, perhaps, conflated with comments from a fan-made Facebook page. However, the website passed them off as being from Cyrus and her official Facebook page: “Everyone needs to leave Demi alone. She’s been through so much the past year. She doesn’t need the crap. how can you talk crap on someone you don’t know. The media makes everyone in Hollywood seem “weak,” “stupid,” or “unbalanced” …Just because she’s in Hollywood doesn’t mean she’s on drugs. NOT EVERYONE IS ON DRUGS!!!”
Nope. Cyrus never wrote that. At least that’s what she’s claiming through her rep. She and Moore know each other, after working on the LOL movie together. However, Cyrus’ rep says RadarOnline.com’s story has “no truth” to it.
The 19-year-old issued a second denial on Twitter: “Why do people make stuff up. Demi has been nothing but a great friend 2 me & I’ll never speak out on her private life! Its nobodys business.”
Similarly, at the time of the Ashton Kutcher cheating scandal, RadarOnline claimed that Moore un-followed Kutcher’s Twitter. The website said Kutcher could no longer be found on the list of follows and they credited a tipster with the information. Evidently, they were too lazy to check the veracity of the claims. Two-minutes of searching would have revealed that, at that time, they were still following each other.
