Miley Cyrus Engaged: “I’m So Happy To Be Engaged” To Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus, 19, and Liam Hemsworth, 22, are engaged after nearly three-years of dating that began under the ward of her permissive parents on the set of The Last Song for which he was cast when she was newly-single and barely 16-years-old (preferring serial monogamy with douchebags like ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston and the dudes in the interim).

They’ve been on and off with one big break-up in the middle, during which Hemsworth spent most of his time between his native Australia and his resident Los Angeles. And there’s unconfirmed speculation that he dated someone else in that time, although further conjecture is better left to Us Weekly and others who labelled  that “cheating.”

In any case, they’ve been effectively living together for months now; with him tacit in her adorable animal hoarding, and being sent out for supplies every time she adopts or finds a new puppy. And they’ve attended a bunch of her red carpets together, although they walked apart for his premiere, The Hunger Games, ahead of which were the most persistent engagement rumours that were a publicity stunt by Cyrus supporting her boyfriend’s non-role in the movie.

But they’re really engaged this time, as their reps confirm to People Magazine.

“I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam,” Cyrus, tells the magazine. Hemsworth proposed on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweller Neil Lane.

Cyrus has also been tweeting about the news: “life is beautiful,” she wrote, adding, “thank you for all the love today 🙂 I’m happy to share this news with you all. I feel like all my dreams are coming true. ❤ have a great day.”
