Miley Cyrus Takes it off for Charity
July 27, 2013 by Mike Siegel
Miley Cyrus may have had a few risque photos taken of her, but this one takes the cake.
The 20-year-old singer tweeted a picture of Marc Jacobs’ new t-shirt sporting a design of her unclothed body with the phrase “Protect the skin you’re in” yesterday for the whole world to see. If it weren’t for the sly placement of her hands covering “down there” and the words over her chest, the picture would have been x-rated.
With all jokes aside, this is actually for a good cause. While Cyrus’ picture is somewhat scandalous, it is one of the many t-shirt designs that 50-year-old fashion designer Marc Jacobs has created for charity. Yup, that’s right. Cyrus is sporting a whole lot of nothing for Jacobs’ “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign, which raises money for the New York University Skin Cancer Institute. Who knew taking one’s clothes off could be such an altruistic thing?
Cyrus also tweeted that the t-shirts will be sold in nine Marc Jacobs stores throughout the country, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Boston and Savannah, GA, among others. She isn’t even the only celebrity who has been an icon in this campaign; in fact, celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell have also posed fully nude for the campaign’s t-shirt designs, according to Us Weekly.
Regardless if you think Cyrus unclothed is hot, you support the campaign’s message or you just like the design, you should go check out the shirt online. After all, it’s only $35.
