Report: Will Miley Cyrus Replace Angus T. Jones On Two And A Half Men?
Last week, Two and a Half Men’s “half man” Angus T. Jones participated in a religious testimonial during which he denounced the show that made him wealthy and famous as “filth” and actively discouraged people from watching.
He later apologised for biting the hand that feeds, but only after being criticised for his comments in the media.
According to reports, he was not scheduled to appear in the subsequent two episodes of the show and he’s NOT been fired. He’s returning shortly.
Over the weekend however, there was another report that his job may be in jeopardy if he’s replaced by someone else. Celebuzz.com is reporting that Miley Cyrus may return to the show after appearing in cameo and drawing the highest ratings for the season.
Sources from the set of the CBS sitcom tell Celebuzz exclusively that Miley Cyrus is being eyed as a potential replacement for Angus T. Jones after the actor openly called the show “filth” on YouTube.
“There are talks to replace Angus and the perfect person would be Miley Cyrus,” the insider revealed. “The episodes that she appeared on brought in the highest ratings of the season. One possibility is that she could easily be written into the show to go to college.”
Those who worked with her on set, including Kutcher, were especially impressed by her work ethic, which will only work in Cyrus’ favor, according to the insider.
“When she was on set she, was pleasant and very enjoyable to work with,” they said. “She won everyone over. Now the whispers are growing louder. People involved in the show want Miley to replace Angus.”
Now, insiders say that production has been thrown out of whack, leaving Jones’ future with the show in jeopardy.
“Production staff has been scrambling after his recent antics were publicized against the show,” another insider said of Jones, who isn’t scheduled to appear in an episode that tapes this week. “Everyone was nervous and upset not knowing what would happen next.” – via Celebuzz.
