Mother Hides Pregnancy & Flushes Newborn Down the Toilet, Baby Survives!
Another day, another story of deplorable parenting from someone who went on to place their baby in harm’s way.
This time, a mother who reportedly “hid her pregnancy” apparently flushed her newborn down the drain. Although, it should be noted, authorities have yet to determine whether it was accidental because the birth was unexpected or “malicious.” As such, the woman–who is in serious condition following complications from the birth—is yet to be charged with anything.
The five pound two-day-old infant born in Jinhua, China became trapped in a small section of sewer pipe after being flushed down the toilet in the mother’s apartment. The child was found by the landlord after the mother complained about “weird noises in the pipe.” The section of pipe was removed and then the baby was removed from the pipe, over several hours, carefully, using a series of tools including saws and pliers, and taken to hospital.
An officer told the local media, ”The baby is very healthy now and can be released from the hospital.”
