NeNe Leakes Sued by Wedding Planner Tiffany Cook for $1 Million

A person’s wedding day may be one of the happiest days of their life until they realize just how much money they owe.
According to TMZ, Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is being sued by her “celebrity wedding planner” Tiffany Cook for over $1 million. The 45-year-old television personality hired Cook’s company, Dream Design Weddings, to plan her wedding party, which took place on June 22nd and will be featured as a TV special titled I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding on Bravo in September. However, Leakes has not paid her million dollar bill yet to Cook, who has recently gone through with a lawsuit.
TMZ also reported that in Cook’s lawsuit, which was filed in Georgia, she claims that Leakes guaranteed she would pay 15% of the entire wedding budget (which had a sum of $1.8 million), any fees for “design and execution” and travel costs; Leakes is essentially a liar. While Cook did confirm that Leakes paid her the beginning down payment of $18,750, Leakes still owes her $270,000 for the 15% budget fee, $889,900 for design fees and $1,750 for four coach plane tickets from Florida to Georgia. In total, Leakes is being sued for $1,142,900 plus any fees for damage. However, TMZ even reported that Cook wants $2.5 million from Leakes for “her troubles.” Talk about a sticky situation.
Leakes has not made a public statement in regards to the lawsuit yet. Although Leakes may not have time to recognize Cook’s concerns, she certainly had time to tweet her former RHOA co-star Kim Zolciak on July 19th in regards to her “huge Tiffany & Co. box” wedding gift. The more the merrier.
