Nicole Richie & Jessica Simpson Are Friends, Not Feuding On Set Of Fashion Star

Nicole Richie has denied the stories in The National Enquirer and Us Weekly that she and Jessica Simpson are feuding on the set of Fashion Star. This story seemed to originate in The National Enquirer. The Enquirer suggested that Richie was the meaner but more put together and professional of the two. They added that Simpson was as she appeared on her Twitter: brainless, clueless and lost. Us Weekly’s sources know nothing except copy pasta, so they repeated the same: there is “definite friction [between the women]. They chat only when they need to, and they have wildly different opinions about style.” Richie, “thinks Jessica doesn’t have much of a high-fashion eye [and] makes snarky comments about Jessica’s outfits.” Simpson “really doesn’t care what Nicole thinks… Nicole may know trends, but Jessica believes she know how to make clothes for all kinds of women.”

Richie went on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, to deny any fighting: “I’ll tell you right now that [the rumours] couldn’t be further from the truth. ‘I actually love and adore Jessica. I’ve known her for years, first of all, so I already knew who she was as a person. Who she is is someone who’s very kind, very sweet and extremely smart and a great businesswoman and someone that I really respect… I actually couldn’t love someone or respect someone more… I’m really excited and it’s something that I’m extremely honored to be a part of. We have a lot of fun on it.”
