No Weight Loss Endorsement AND No One Wants Kim Kardashian Wearing Their Clothes
February 13, 2013 by Hollywoodite
A few weeks ago, a report claimed that Kim Kardashian was eager to land a postpartum weight loss endorsement similar to the $4 million Jessica Simpson got for doing nothing but obfuscating the truth and fudging the numbers. And before her, Jennifer Hudson and Mariah Carey landed similar deals with Weight Watchers and Jenny.
But according to TMZ.com and others, no one was actually that interested in endorsing Kardashian’s weight loss because, at the end of the day, TV show or no, the user base doesn’t really find her to be likable nor relatable; certainly not in the way they relate to Jessica Simpson.
She’s been working out almost daily regardless, and personal trainer Tracy Anderson says Kardashian will look better after the baby than she did before.
Her pregnant body is being styled by Nicola Formichetti, the creative director of Mugler, who tells Elle about similar “snobbery.”
Kardashian is featured in the new issue of Elle as covered by Taylor Swift, and Formichetti styled… with great difficulty. “It was a challenge,” he explains, adding that he approached several designers who all declined to have Kardashian wear their clothes. “People wouldn’t lend me the clothes. But that’s fashion snobbery.”
He worked with what he was given. “She’s not the It Girl yet,” he adds, “but she will be.”
Kardashian gushes about his work, “I love being transformed and I love, like your, vision of who you think I am. That’s always so inspiring to me and so interesting to see someone else’s take on me.”
“I travel alone, I show up for shoots alone,” she says of the shoot. “I don’t have an entourage. And I’m sick of my family right now and they are my [usual entourage].”
