Pauly D met his baby girl for the first time in five-months
Pauly D is father to a baby girl, Amabella, born in May to a Las Vegas hookup named Amanda Markert.
Amanda is a 26-year-old student and single mother of two kids, including a five-year-old son by another man, a wanted felon named Lance Gerbino. There was some initial confusion in the media over paternity since, until late October, Amanda had a boyfriend, Donn Barbitta, who was in many of the family photos and had admittedly acted as a father figure.
However, Amanda denies Donn ever thought he was Amabella’s father and a paternity test has confirmed Pauly D got Amanda pregnant after their one-night-stand (after which he initially asked for an abortion).
“This is getting out of hand, you’ve had my number since day 1. Come bond with her any day, any time you and your family want,” Amanda wrote on Twitter October 30, pleading for Pauly to actually visit after telling the media he “loved” the five-month-old he had never met. “It could all be so simple,” she added. “Call now…”
But now, he has met the girl. “He flew home early from Vegas and hasn’t stopped talking about how she’s the first girl to steal his heart,” a source said of the November 6 visit. “He’s overjoyed!”
“Pauly bought Amabella a bunch of toys and clothes,” the source continues.
“He knows she’ll be safe with him and his family,” the source added. “He’s already built a nursery for Amabella and is excited for this next chapter in his life.”
