Penelope Cruz Gives Birth to Baby Girl

The news of the birth of Penelope Cruz’s daughter was trumped by the news of the Royal Baby’s birth.

The Royal Baby has been the talk of every international, national and local news station for the past day, sending the world into a giant uproar. As Kate Middleton welcomed the future King, actress Penelope Cruz welcomed her own little bundle of joy into the world: a baby girl. Like the Royal Baby, the new baby girl doesn’t yet have a name known to the public.

The Spanish actress and her husband, Javier Bardem, are also parents to 2-year-old son, Leonardo. It was just a few days ago that Cruz looked like she was ready to pop, and sporting heels, at a concert in Madrid with her husband.

The pair married in an intimate ceremony in 2010 after dating for three years. They were friends for a long time before deciding to take it to the next level. Cruz and her Spanish actor husband are notoriously private about their personal lives, especially when it comes to their son. Cruz said, ”I want my son and my kids – if I have more – to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as  possible. The fact that his father and I have chosen to do the work we do  doesn’t give anybody the right to invade our privacy.” She and her husband still stand by this statement, as they haven’t released any details about their daughter thus far.

Turns out that the birth of the Royal Baby couldn’t have come at a better moment for someone who likes to keep their private life private. The news of the Royal Baby was in a slightly higher demand, allowing the new family to celebrate their new birth with a little more privacy.
