People: Demi Moore’s Emotional Backslide Because Of Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher?

October 17, 2012 by Hollywoodite

This week’s People Magazine features what feels like a belated-by-months cover story about Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and his estranged wife, Demi Moore, from whom he separated over a year ago (so long that people speculated whether they were really married… they were) although neither has taken steps to sever the marriage because they’re holding out for a better financial settlement.

Moore’s been out of recovery for a while, too, but People Magazine is basically suggesting that she’s not all-the-way recovered and Kutcher’s moving on to someone about whom he clearly cares, as in someone he obviously wouldn’t use to get back at Moore, is endangering Moore’s recovery from emotional, drug, and familial issues.

This is becoming a habit for People Magazine, who only earlier this month repeated declarative statements about the mental health of former Saved By The Bell actress Lark Voorhies whose mother said the star is bipolar only to suggest in the same story the condition is un-diagnosed and the concerns are conjecture.

The actress, who will mark her 50th birthday on Nov. 11, is wrapping a challenging year: Her 6-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher, 34, ended last November in the wake of the actor’s public cheating scandal; she was hospitalized last January; and since then, she has endured intense scrutiny of her well-being.

Multiple sources close to her circle say some friends are worried Moore hasn’t fully recovered. Her thinness is still raising concerns, a source tells People in this week’s cover story: “Her friends aren’t convinced she’s all better.”

Now, with her milestone birthday fast approaching, she must cope with her ex’s very public new romance with actress Mila Kunis, 29.

One source close to her says she is “jealous and frustrated” by the romance.

Another insider says the actress is taking Kutcher’s cheating the hardest.

“What was humiliating was having her husband cheat on her in such a public way,” the insider says. “But once that happened, she has not looked back.”

But another source maintains she’s doing well: “As hard as it has been, despite the depression of going through a divorce, she came through it.” – via People Magazine.

People’s cover says: “Her struggle to heal. Demi’s Broken Heart. Coping with Ashton & Mila’s Romance. As Demi turns 50, friends worry the star’s happiness is threatened by her ex’s very public new love affair.”
