Phaedra Parks Gives Birth to a Baby Boy
Phaedra Parks and her husband Apollo Nida welcomed their second child on Wednesday in Atlanta, sources confirm. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s due date wasn’t until later this month, but after an emergency C-section, both mommy and baby are doing just fine.
Parks, who announced her pregnancy in December of last year, wasn’t expecting her second son until May 25. According to Too Fab, Phaedra began experiencing severe stomach pains this morning on the way to work and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she underwent an emergency Cesarean.
Radar Online reports that Parks ”is resting comfortably” and “over the moon to welcome her bundle of joy into the world.” Husband Apollo was by her side during the delivery as was her mother, Regina. ”Plans are for their two-year-old son, Ayden, to meet his little brother later today when he comes to visit him.”
In an interview in November of last year, Parks opened up about her growing family. “Ideally I’d like three kids, but I don’t know if my poor uterus can take it!” she joked.
The couple’s new addition joins big brother Ayden, 2. “He’s the light of my life,” Parks gushed of her first child. “My husband and I just adore him.”
Parks and Nida first met in 1996 but didn’t tie the knot until 2009. A year later, they welcomed their first child.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Parks would star in her own legal-themed reality show on Bravo which has been tentatively titled, Rich People Problems. The show will follow Parks in her professional life as one of Atlanta’s most prominent lawyers.
