PHOTO Imir R. Williams arrested for assault on Amish Mafia’s Esther Freeman Schmucker
It was previously reported that Amish Mafia star Esther Freeman Schmucker had allegedly been assaulted by her on-off boyfriend of nearly one year, Imir Rashon Williams (who went by “Amir” Rashon Williams on Facebook and is also known by his rap name, Mirkat). Imir is alleged to have broken Esther’s cheekbones, nose and teeth and briefly eluded police.
It’s barely 72 hours later and he’s already been taken into custody and booked.
Imir, 24, listed as 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds in court documents from pre-existing assault charges, was suspected of felony aggravated assault from punching Esther in the head repeatedly on Halloween morning. A felony warrant issued for his arrest on Sunday.
Strasburg police Chief Steven Echternach confirms that local authorities located Imir Wednesday morning, hiding in a residence on Second Street in Lancaster city, after receiving a tip about his whereabouts. ”The task force did a fantastic job and grabbed him for us,” Echternach said.
Imir was handed over by the arresting task force to the Strasburg police, he was questioned, and later taken to District Judge William Benner’s office in Willow Street. He was later arraigned and bail set at $250,000 (which was not posted). Outside the judge’s office, Imir spoke to reporters and said, ”Sorry, everyone. I apologize.” Here’s more from a local paper.
[Esther] Schmucker’s roommate told police she witnessed the 1 a.m. attack and tried to pull [Imir] Williams off Schmucker. Schmucker was treated at Lancaster Regional Medical Center, where she refused to tell doctors what happened to her. Williams was with her. In the following days, police were unable to contact Schmucker. Williams had essentially been “guarding” Schmucker since the assault, the roommate told police.
Schmucker told police on Sunday what happened: She was punched repeatedly in the face. ”She was in fear … to tell the nurse that Williams was the person that did it,” an officer wrote in the affidavit.
Schmucker is a major character on the television reality show, now in its second season. Williams is a rap artist who uses the moniker “Mirkat.” He is not a part of the television show.
This isn’t the first allegation of Schmucker being abused by Williams, according to court records. Previously, Schmucker filed at least three protection-from-abuse orders against Williams, who lives on and off with her at her Strasburg home, according to court documents. Schmucker failed to appear for any court hearings regarding the PFAs, and they were dismissed. – via Lancaster Online.
