Report: Following Weeks Of Poor Ratings, Bravo Is About To Cancel The Rachel Zoe Project

Back in March, RadarOnline.com reported that Rachel Zoe’s eponymous The Rachel Zoe Project was weak in ratings and “is in a downwards free fall during its fifth season, losing near on 40 percent in the lucrative 18-49 demographic.”

Shortly after, Zoe reportedly blamed Bravo for the show’s failings because they chose to run her former assistant Brad Goreski’s show It’s A Brad, Brad World immediately after her own.

“Rachel thinks it was a very calculated maneuver by Bravo to run Brad’s show after hers, and thinks it’s negatively impacting her fashion empire. Brad has been portrayed in the press in a very sympathetic way, and an all around nice guy. Rachel believes that Brad’s show running after hers is just a negative reminder to their bad break-up when he quit working for her to embark out on his own,” a source tells RadarOnline. “Rachel doesn’t want anything to do with Brad, and having his show run after hers is just a slap in the face. This is her fifth season and she has given 150% of herself to making her show a success. [Rachel] is extremely stressed out by the entire situation. Rachel hates to lose anything, and is very, very competitive. If Brad’s show gets expanded from 30 minutes to an hour, like hers, well watch out, the claws will really come out!”

Then, the next week, the ratings fell again. Reportedly losing close to 40 percent of its audience.

And this week… it’s over. According to RadarOnline, the show is going to be cancelled.

“The decision has been made to cancel Rachel’s show… all we are waiting for is the announcement,” an insider said. “The ratings are lackluster and Bravo has decided that Rachel’s show has run it’s course. Viewers just aren’t tuning in to the show anymore. The audience has also complained that Rachel has surrounded herself with ‘yes’ people, unlike her previous employees, like Brad Goreski and Taylor Jacobson. Viewers loved the drama of Rachel’s staff. There isn’t any of that anymore. [And how many times can she say her catchphrases] before it just becomes ridiculous.

Former assistant Goreski, however, is coming back for a third season. “Brad wouldn’t have gone to the Bravo upfronts in New York City last week if he wasn’t coming back,” the insider said.
