X Factor Results: Who Was Eliminated From X Factor By Viewer Vote?

December 9, 2011 by Hollywoodite

Last night’s X Factor saw 13-year-old Rachel Crow, who may have been too young and emotionally ill-equipped to handle the pressure if last night’s reaction is anything to go by, eliminated.

Season one episode 22 determined the top four, from the remaining five. With the bottom two vote between Crow and Marcus Canty (who has been in the bottom two for the past three weeks). The bottom two performed their save me songs, chosen from the movie night; Marcus opting for I’m Going Down, Crow choosing I’d Rather Go Blind. Following deliberations, judge Nicole Scherzinger failed to reach a decision, even after being given breathing room by host Steve Jones, and forced a deadlock.

The viewer votes were used to decide and… Crow went home. She bust into tears and fell to her knees on stage as you can watch in the video. The result also led to the booing you can hear in the video.

Melanie Amaro, for the girls, mentored by Simon Cowell, Josh Krajcik, for the over 30s mentored by Scherzinger, and Canty and Chris Rene, for the boys mentored by L.A. Reid, remain in the competition.

Reportedly, fans frustrated with the decision have been lashing out at Scherzinger. However, Crow told reporters at a press conference after the show that she’s not angry at the judge. Moreover, the 33-year-old apologised. ‘She told me that she was sorry,’ Crow said. ‘But I saw her in her dressing room and she was like, ‘I wasn’t expecting that’ and I was like, ‘It’s not your fault.’ She is the nicest and most beautiful person; inside and out.’
