Real Housewife Taylor Armstrong Engaged to John Bluher

Beverly Hills Housewife Taylor Armstrong’s life seems to be taking a much deserved positive turn.
Throughout past seasons of filming, Taylor’s tragic story unfolded. Cast mates speculated that she was being physically abused by her husband, Russell Armstrong, based on off-camera conversations. However, on camera, Taylor would defend her husband and hide her private life for her own safety. It was an unfortunate event that finally allowed her to reveal the truth.
On August 15th, 2011, Russell committed suicide, allowing Taylor to open up about her past struggles with domestic violence. On one emotional reunion, she even admitted that she wanted to hide behind the cameras for safety- for her husband surely would not hurt her in public.
Taylor told all in her book called Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within. After overcoming a drinking problem and finding a way to balance being a single mother with her charity work, Taylor began dating successful lawyer John Bluher. In an interview with E!, Taylor said that she finally felt stable and at peace with John, and they shared mutual respect.
Now, two years after her former husband passed away, Taylor is moving on for real! On Thursday, John proposed at a luxury resort in Mexico. E! reported, “Lawyer John Bluher proposed to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star on Thursday at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Mexico, offering up a gold and diamond ring he helped design with jeweler Ari Soffer… For their special night, Bluher had a tent set up on the beach just steps from their oceanfront suite. The path was lined with candles and he had the tent filled with white roses and lillies.”
Not only did Taylor get the ultimate vacation- she also received the ultimate proposal. Unfortunately, she is only returning to RHBH’s 4th season as a recurring guest. Hopefully we can still catch a glimpse of her new, sparkling life!
