Real Housewives Star Michaele Salahi To Marry Neal Schon This December

October 10, 2013 by Lindsay Cronin

The Real Housewives of D.C. star (and White House party crasher) Michaele Salahi and her Journey rocker beau Neal Schon have set a date for their upcoming wedding. In a statement released earlier this month, Neal announced that he and Michaele would be tying the knot in December in San Francisco after becoming engaged one year ago.

“San Francisco has been my home, the city I love and I am marrying Michaele, the woman of my dreams and the love of my lifetime,” the statement read.

Michaele left her husband, Tareq Salahi, in 2011 after appearing on the one and only season of The Real Housewives of D.C. At first, it was reported that she was the taget of a kidnapping, but a short time later, she and Neal came forward with their romance.

“It’s like a fairy tale. It is, it really is,” Neal told the Daily Beast about his relationship with Michaele. “I’m very happy, very happy after waiting for her for 15 years.”

Michaele had been seeing Neal and Tareq at the same time during the ’90s but chose Tareq after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and feeling as though he would be a better caretaker.

“I chose Tareq over Neal because I thought life would be less stressful living on a vineyard in Virginia,” she said shortly after rekindling her romance with Neal. “Life on the road with a rock band…well, I thought I might not have been able to keep up.”

Last night, Neal shared a Facebook photo of himself and Michaele on a billboard in NYC with a congratulatory message which read, “Congratulations to Neal Schon and Michaele Salahi on their upcoming wedding.”
