REPORT Doug Hutchison moves out of marital home he once shared with Courtney Stodden
Doug Hutchison met Courtney Stodden when her parents reached out to a mutual friend about Doug’s acting workshop. They communicated by email, where Doug claims he didn’t know Courtney was 16 and she came onto him, and were married shortly after their meeting. It was all seedy and morally questionable, although the best anyone can figure they never actually broke the law.
It’s three years later, and their marriage has fallen apart. Courtney stopped including Doug in her photo-ops, when she would call the paps on herself, and he reportedly wasn’t at her Halloween party last weekend. Before that, she went on Celebrity Big Brother UK alone, even though Heidi and Spencer had gone as a married couple the year prior, and Courtney said she desired to become more independent while still in the house. It worked, she flirted with men on camera, denied it, and got drunk… a lot.
By the time she came out, she claimed to have grown as a person although her housemates complained that, at times, she was immature and self-absorbed. Her husband was there to welcome her back, when she was evicted from the house, and that’s the last anyone heard from them as a couple.
Since then, Radar has claimed Courtney doesn’t need Doug anymore, left him, and basically kicked him out. “Doug’s world has been turned upside down, but for Courtney, it’s far from that. She is embracing singledom. It’s clear she has finally emerged to be able to call all the shots,” says a source. “She is branching out and doing her own thing and Doug is getting left behind.”
He is “heartbroken and angry” and “devastated” says a source. “I’m not sure they’ll be able to recover from this.”
