REPORT Lamar Odom Going to Out-Patient Rehab? Blowing Off Meetings With Counsellor?

September 12, 2013 by Hollywoodite

A few days ago, TMZ Live insisted that any claims of Lamar Odom going to rehab were planted by friends of Lamar’s and were untrue. However, some of that may be naysaying or sour grapes because PEOPLE broke the story of how Lamar went to rehab for 24 hours and checked right back out which PEOPLE still insists is accurate despite TMZ’s rebuttal. No one can agree, but for the record Lamar is saying he doesn’t even need help, he’s happy and healthy and will “hopefully” return to his basketball career.

It’s a few days later and now there’s another report, this time from Radar, insisting Lamar has sought help of sorts (since sources skipped TMZ again, it’ll probably rebut this story too since Kris Jenner is going directly to TMZ with the “correct” information).

Seeming to corroborate PEOPLE’s account that he went into a rehab facility recently, then left, a source says Lamar blew off full-blown rehab because he has “major trust issues and didn’t feel comfortable in a rehab setting.” Meaning, Kris keeps leaking information about him.

According to sources, Lamar checked into an out-patient rehabilitation program instead… then started blowing off meetings with his counsellor. “Lamar had been scheduled to meet with a counsellor on Tuesday, but blew off the meeting,” reveals an insider. “Sadly, it doesn’t appear that Lamar is on track to getting healthy.” His sports agent Jeff Schwartz is also “frustrated with Lamar because he is trying to get him to realize he must go back to rehab,” added the source.

“Lamar just shuts down the topic whenever it’s brought up,” said the source. “When Jeff or anyone pushes Lamar to get help, he just abruptly ends the telephone call and let’s future calls go to voicemail. There is only so much Lamar’s inner circle can do… those that love him, including Khloe, cannot persuade him.”
