Rihanna’s Most Revealing Interview About Chris Brown Yet… In Rolling Stone Magazine!
Just when you thought that Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran was finally getting a moment in the spotlight to share her story, here comes Rihanna with a brand new cover story for Rolling Stone Magazine.
The 24-year-old gave her most revealing interview yet about exactly why she’s gotten back together with Brown, despite receiving enormous amounts of criticism from celebrities, media, and fans.
“I decided it was more important for me to be happy,” she reveals to Rolling Stone. ”I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake.”
After Brown assaulted Rihanna in 2009, Rihanna did attempt to keep her distance, but she has ultimately decided to give in to her feelings for him.
“After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”
Rihanna admits that she truly believes that Brown will never physically abuse her again because he is disgusted by that kind of behavior.
“He doesn’t have the luxury of f***ing up again,” she says. “That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”
She also believes that the relationship will work out the second time around because their current relationship is nothing like the first one and she truly values what the two of them have.
“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world,” Rihanna says. “You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about s***. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”
