RIP: Amy Winehouse Died – Singer Found Dead At Home, Age 27

WOW! This is kind of expected, one could suppose. Despite her problems, she was still a person and she didn’t live to see her 28th birthday and so it’s still tragic. Amy Winehouse has been found dead, police in London confirm.
In May this year, Winehouse attended rehab at the UK’s Priory clinic and she reportedly bought and drank alcohol on the way there. She left soon after and she went right back on tour. Only weeks later, during the Serbian leg of her tour, did she cancel the entire thing. With the European tour cancelled, Winehouse went quiet and there’d been no major updates from her since… until now.
She’d been fighting really serious drug and alcohol addictions for years. Reality star Kelly Osbourne just reacted to the news on Twitter and lashed out at one follower who accused her of not doing enough to help her friend, Winehouse. “I can’t even breath right my now. I’m crying so hard,” Osbourne, 26, tweeted. “I just lost one of my best friends. I love you forever Amy and will never forget the real you!” When attacked, she wrote back, “Are you f***ing kidding me? You have no idea what you are talking about! It would be in your best interest to shut the f*** up!” She added later, “I miss my friend,” Osbourne added. “I’m going to be off Twitter for awhile. Thank you for all your support!”
Winehouse’s death was confirmed by police in a statement to the media.
“The London Ambulance Service found her body at 15:34 (GMT) but were unable to save her life,” Metropolitan Police tell Us in a statement. The cause of death has yet to be determined. “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased,” they add.
“On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Inquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.” – via Us Weekly.
TMZ is reporting a bunch on the death and confirms that no foul play is suspected by Scotland Yard and the death is being treated as “unexplained.” It would appear she was dead in her home, from unknown causes, for an as-yet undetermined number of days, before she was found. Police have taped off outside of her home and have been standing guard of the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow.
