Breaking Amish: Sabrina High a.k.a. Sabrina Burkholder Mennonite School Year Book Photo

October 23, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Breaking Amish only has about two more episodes to go. During which producers will scramble to explain away the lingering, unanswered questions about the cast’s storied histories of multiple, serious arrests, their divorces, and the kids no one’s mentioning on the show.

Some things have been explained. So far as it suits the show. Like the admission that Rebecca Byler has been married before (partially confirmed when Abe Schmucker called her “Rebecca Jane” this weekend since that’s the name on her divorce documents). And the show admitted that Jeremiah Raber is divorced, and they admitted Kate Stoltzfus’ D.U.I. arrest. But there’s more on their marriages and criminal histories never explored by the show.

In any case, here’s a little more on the only Mennonite girl on the show, adoptee Sabrina High. She got married in 2009 and, at least briefly, went by her married name Sabrina Burkholder on Twitter at some point thereafter (she’s rumoured to be divorced too now). Aside from the claim on this weekend’s episode that she slept with Raber, Burkholder’s story has been the least interesting. She’s a real former Mennonite, although sources say she hasn’t been practicing in the religion for years.

And now, on BreakingAmishTheTruth’s Facebook page, there are screen-capped photos of a young Burkholder.

Here’s the photo, it shows Burkholder as a child and “the bottom picture is a mennonite school year book picture of Sabrina.” Also, “Others note that this is exactly how those in the church of Sabrina’s upbringing dress.”
