Scarlett Johansson Received A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

The timing of Scarlett Johansson’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star is a contrived part of the promotional trail for The Avengers for which she’ll have to pay herself (celebrities pay for the maintenance of their own stars, if memory serves). Johansson was awarded her star in the motion picture category on May 2 in Hollywood, California. She was accompanied by her boyfriend Nate Naylor, her grandmother Dorothy Sloan and other family, and Jeremy Renner with whom Johansson co-stars in The Avengers which gets its North American release May 4 after grossing nearly $200 million international in the past month. The domestic release will likely beat The Hunger Games’ opening box office from a few weeks ago.

Included is Johansson smiling manically, which is cute, because she’s never this cheerful or unguarded in photos anymore. She wore a black and white shirt and skirt both by Preen, with Bulgari jewels, and red Christian Louboutin shoes.
