The Situation: Alleged Alcohol, Xanax & Ambien Addictions

More claims have been released about the list of substances to which The Situation is allegedly dependent.
Still pretending he’s not in “rehab,” as opposed to a “treatment facility” in the form of Cirque Lodge in Utah, for the sake of semantics, the 29-year-old reportedly has alcohol and prescription pill problems with more specifics coming to light following initial denials from his camp.
Despite only admitting a problem with prescription pills in a statement yesterday, outlets today claim he’s drinking to excess and he’s “addicted” on “Xanax and Ambien.”
TMZ.com claims that the 29-year-old’s drinking was a problem, for which he dried out before going into further inpatient treatment for the pills. Moreover, the club appearances for which he receives a six-figure paycheck (on which he’s become dependent) exacerbated the already-heavy drinking.
A RadarOnline.com source alleges that The Situation used “illegal” substances, party drugs that got out of control, and that he became “addicted” to specific prescription pills used to manage his energy levels because of his admitted “exhaustion.”
The source claims The Situation took “very, very large amounts of the two drugs to counter-act his hard partying, which included use of illegal substances. It was getting extremely dangerous for Mike because when he would take Ambien and Xanax he would already be under the influence, and he would forget how many pills he took, causing him to take too many sometimes. Mike was blacking out, and suffering from memory loss, which is very common when taking large doses of the two prescription drugs.”
But none of that matters because he’s reportedly not willing to forgo the paid appearances: “Mike doesn’t want to give up his paid club promotional appearances; he loves the attention that he gets from the ladies and the money is great. Mike leads a very expensive life and he doesn’t want his lifestyle to suffer because of his decision to go to rehab. He is very upset that stint in rehab has become public knowledge, because he doesn’t want it to affect his bottom line. Mike’s brother handles his club appearances and he has been telling club managers that Mike has no plans on giving up the nightlife.”
