Snooki Covers ITW: She’s Expecting A Boy, She’s Chosen Baby Names

The tabloid covers have just started to come out, the first of which is a baby reveal from In Touch Weekly Magazine. Admittedly, at first glance, this appears to be another OK! Magazine-style misdirect. However, reading the story from ITW, this is an exclusive, paid interview with Snooki in which the reality star confirms she’s expecting a baby boy with fiance Jionni LaValle.
Although it’s an exclusive, how far she’s fallen. The pregnancy reveal was with Us Weekly Magazine; middle-of-the-road, yet fitting with her target audience. She’s not really good enough for a People exclusive. Not really. Even Khloe Kardashian was reductive for People. But Snooki’s Us Weekly cover was a big enough deal for the bidding to leak to Page Six ahead of time. And now she’s covering ITW. In fairness, ITW was right about Jessica Simpson’s baby name and it was right that Simpson had a cesarean. But it’s still… ITW. It’s still kind of a backpedal. Couldn’t she even swing for Life & Style? Eh, ITW must have bid more.
In any case, the cover reads: “The Big Snooki Interview: It’s A Boy. Weight gain, breastfeeding fears, cravings; “I’ve lost my sex drive”; Wine in the delivery room and a boob job.” The interview is hardly revelatory; in fact, it’s mostly comprised of quotes about wanting a boob job (she said it was about firmness not size) and drinking (she accidentally drank during her first trimester) that you’ve heard before. It feels repetitive, but there’s a little insight about the September birth.
“Everyone said I was going to have a boy, and they were right!” the Jersey Shore star reveals exclusively to In Touch.
Snooki tells In Touch that she and Jionni are deciding between two names: Lorenzo or Jionni Jr.
And, while she’s thrilled to welcome a son, the 24-year-old admits she was hoping for a mini-me. “I thought it was going to be a girl. I was hoping it would be, because all girls want girls,” Snooki says, at first disappointed, but adding, “It’s still my baby, no matter what. I’m excited either way!”
Proudly showing off her baby bump at the exclusive photo shoot, the mom-to-be says she’s traded in her beloved pickles and now craves icy, cold treats. “I love anything cold and juicy, like Italian ices.”
While some women find their sex drive enhanced during pregnancy, you won’t find Snooki and Jionni anywhere near the smush room! “Our sex life is hardly there! I just feel too icky and gross,” Snooki confides. “I’m so not in the mood to do stuff.”
Still, the once Jersey Shore wild child is happy to put her crazy days behind her and focus on her new life as a mom. “I’m not going to party hard anymore, even after the baby is born,” Snooki reveals. “Being a mom changes you.” – via In Touch Weekly Magazine.
