Snooki Confronts New Jersey Governor Chris Christie at Seaside Reopening!
Yesterday was a good day if you are a New Jersey native! Seaside Heights officially reopened after being shut down due to massive damage from Hurricane Sandy which caused $38 billion worth of damage to The State of New Jersey. It seemed as though everyone who attended the grand reopening was in a joyful mood, with the exception former MTV Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi who decided to use it as an opportunity to confront New Jersey Governor Chris Christie who was also in attendance. According to a video from APPOnline.tv, Snooki first asks the governor “Why are you talking so close to me?” The governor then trying to make a joke out of it steps even closer to her and than backs a away. He then states “You asked for my opinion.” As a way to lighten the mood, fellow cast mate Deena Nicole Cortese compliments the governor on the great job he’s done in the re-construction of the damage by stating “I’m from Jersey and I thought you did a good job with the hurricane.” Cortese’s interjection clearly did not work because when the governor began thanking them for coming, Snooki with a serious expression on her face, then stated “We wanted to meet you and hopefully you start to like us.” At this point, Snooki then sarcastically said thanks to the governor, and walked away. However, she then says to the camera man “He just doesn’t like us.” She then posted a picture of herself and Governor Christie on instagram, and captioned it ”Getting told why we are bad for Jersey” Snooki’s dislike for Governor Christie stems from past comments that the governor reportedly made in which he stated that the MTV show was “bad for Jersey.” He obviously has gotten over it, but clearly Snooki hasn’t!
