Snooki Hid Her Pregnancy & Engagement From Friend Deena Cortese

Asked about her pregnancy in early February, Snooki lied to several outlets and deflected the comments as criticism about her weight. She lied when confronted by TMZ.com who discussed and believed her denial on TMZ Live, then Snooki lied during a live radio interview with Opie & Anthony, who tweeted the denial to followers.

Asked about the denial by Us Weekly, Snooki said the story leaking to Star Magazine early was unfortunate but it would have been remiss to admit being pregnant during the first trimester: “I wanted to make sure the baby is OK. Things can go wrong, like a miscarriage. It was my business, and I wasn’t ready to tell.”

And now Deena Cortese has given an interview with Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show, Friday, on which she admits Snooki hid the pregnancy and engagement from those close to her. Moreover, the supposed “best friend” of Snooki was left to learn of the news in the tabloids along with everyone else.

Cortese told Seacrest: “I actually just found out when everybody else did. That’s when she decided to tell everyone. I think she was waiting because it’s bad luck. [Snooki will be a] great [mom]. She’s a very genuine, nice person, and her heart is always in the right place. She always puts people before her. She’s going to love that little meatball!

She continued: “I think this has been her dream: getting married and having kids. She’s really happy and I’m happy for her. I’m going to miss my little partner in crime, but I’m happy for her!”
