Watch Teaser: South Park Parody Of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
South Park has already returned for season 16, on the next episode of which the show will parody something that requires no parodying really because it’s pretty close to satire: Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. In this instance, there’s an obvious crossover between the reality show that’s getting between 2-3 million viewers per week and overweight character Cartman.
The Comedy Central show’s parodies are so spot-on that, occasionally, it’s difficult to tell fact from fiction. For example, remember the Jonas Brothers episode that appeared to be making fun with a skit about the brothers spraying foam over their tween fans and it looked suspiciously like ejaculate… yeah, that really happened. Some things are already so ridiculous, South Park just copies and pastes them. Other times, the show’s creators are prescient in their predictions.
And now South Park’s latest press release says they’ve covering Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
