Has Tanning Mom Patricia Krentcil Really Stopped Tanning?

In Touch Weekly Magazine interviews Tanning Mom, Patricia Krentcil, who was previously arrested for second-degree child endangerment for allegedly letting her five-year-old daughter into a stand-up tanning booth where the child got “pretty severe sunburn,” according to police.

For the feature (click to enlarge) and makeover, Krentcil, 44, says she’s still banned from her local tanning salons. And she agreed to stay away from tanning in the sun or in beds for an entire month, using only Jergens self-tanner, in a challenge set by ITW.

After that, she says, she’ll go easy on tanning beds, “I might squeeze in a tan here or there.” She’s reticent to give a firm “yes” or “no” to whether she was ever addicted, but she did tan “four or five times a week” she misses “getting in a warming tanning bed,” and “I’ve had moments where I felt like ‘I need to tan.’ And I did all the spray tans and lotions and creams too. Anything to get dark.”
