Snooki Slams Tanning Mom Patricia Krentcil For Allowing Kid To Tan
May 4, 2012 by Hollywoodite
In last week’s Us Weekly, Snooki said pretty clearly she wouldn’t be dragging her kid around to tanning salons or allowing her kid to tan (while still a kid). She said at the time, “My baby’s gonna be naturally tan. If you look at me and Jionni [LaValle], we’re very dark, so luckily the baby will be very dark.” Asked about the spray-tanning on Toddlers & Tiaras, the 24-year-old continued, “I won’t be spray tanning my baby.”
Promoting Snooki and JWoww vs. the World (terrible title?), Snooki responded to reports about Tanning Mom; 44-year-old Patricia Krentcil from Nutley, New Jersey who allowed her 5-year-old daughter into a stand-up tanning booth where the kid got “pretty severe sunburn” as local police informed The Nutley Sun newspaper.
“The little girl went to school and reported she had these burns and that caused the school to contact authorities,” Essex County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson Katherine Carter told ABC News. Snooki appeared on Extra, where she told host Mario Lopez: “That b**ch is crazy, you are not supposed to take kids there. Everyone knows you are NOT supposed to take kids there.”
Krentcil was arrested April 24 for second-degree child endangerment, and was released on $25,000 bail Wednesday. Included is a screencap of Tanning Mom’s mug shot photo, and a still photo because she’s tanned since then (taken from her ABC News interview).
