Taylor Swift Leaves $500 Tip at Restaurant in Philadelphia

Everyone knows the difficulty of figuring out the perfect amount of money to leave as a tip for a waiter or waitress at a restaurant. However, clearly, Taylor Swift is not too bothered by this dilemma.

According to E! News, the 23-year-old singer left a grand total of $500 as a tip at Ralph’s Italian Restaurant in Philadelphia, PA on July 19th. Along with Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone, Swift also took a group picture at the restaurant with the head chef, Shawn Gallo, and others. Gallo must have been flabbergasted; it isn’t every day a celebrity walks into your restaurant and it certainly isn’t every day that you get a $500 tip.

“I called my mom to tell her Swift was there, and she wanted me to take a picture because she is a big fan,” Gallo said. Gallo also mentioned that he has an 11-year-old autistic son named Shawnee who also loves Swift’s music. Swift even topped off the night by giving Gallo two tickets to her July 20th concert in Philadelphia. Talk about a generous person!

“It was so kindhearted of her…it was my son and I’s first concert we’ve ever been to! It was really special,” Gallo told E! News. You may want to think twice the next time you go to slander Taylor Swift.
