Report: Teen Mom 2 Will Probably Be The Next MTV Show To Get Cancelled
Back in January, the New York Post claimed that Teen Mom 2 would probably be getting cancelled because Jenelle Evans’ personal problems were complicating production.
At the time, a source said Teen Mom 2′s “days are numbered,” and the network intended to cancel the show.
About which MTV issued a non-denial as follows: “No decision has been made yet regarding a fifth season of Teen Mom 2, but the network is planning to air the fourth season this year and will announce the premiere date soon.”
Except, now it appears a decision has been made. According to The Ashley’s Reality Round-up, Teen Mom 2 is about to get canned.
Kailyn Lowry recently revealed season four will wrap April 29, and now Ashley’s sources say this will be the final season. “I’m 90 percent sure it’s over,” a source close to the cast revealed.
Additionally, Kail revealed the show had not yet been picked up for another season. Talking about the Twitter beef yesterday between the Teen Moms and cast of Buckwild who lashed out when their show had been cancelled, she said “We didn’t even get a go for another season so it’s not like we’re one up on them.”
Ashley explains, “It’s been nearly five months since MTV cameras last filmed the lives of Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska, Leah Calvert and Kail for the show… [and although] some of the show’s producers appear to be optimistic that they can pick up where they left off with the girls, it’s highly unlikely that the show will continue… The Ashley’s sources tell her that we can probably expect an official announcement from MTV sometime next month. It appears that the show’s cast would all be open to doing another season. However, given the casts’ antics, it’s highly unlikely that MTV will pick it up.”
