Teen Mom 3 Star Katie Yeager’s Domestic Abuse Nightmare

September 9, 2013 by Ricky Guo

Another Teen Mom scandal has surfaced, this time involving Katie Yeager.

On the September 2nd show, many viewers were afraid for Katie’s life when her now former fiance, Joey Maes, started to violently throw things around the house.

Multiple sources revealed to RadarOnline that Joey has assaulted Katie in the past when the cameras weren’t around, one time reportedly breaking her nose. Katie even filed a police report on him because she was scared for her life. A source tells Radar, ”they have had physical problems for their whole relationship.”

It reportedly started back in June 2012 when Katie was moving out of their house because she found out that Joey had allegedly cheated on her. The source says, ”He was punching and throwing  things around the house while Katie was moving out. It got physical. The MTV crew was not present and Katie’s mom called the police. Katie never pressed charges because she didn’t want [their daughter] Molli to be in the middle of that.”

The abuse continued after Katie moved back in with Joey in October 2012. The source adds, “Katie had just moved back in and they were fighting over everything. Like, the stupid things couples fight about. Joey has really bad anger problems and a really bad temper and he told Katie that he was going to go to anger management and he never kind of went through with it. He hit her and broke her nose. It’s always been like a physically abusive relationship. It was always with his fists.”

Luckily for Katie she was smart enough to get out of the abusive relationship and moved on with her life. The source says, “She left after that and she’s never really put herself in the situation where she has been alone with him [again]. When they exchange Molli, they meet in public places and stuff like that.”

Hopefully, Katie will find a guy who will care about her and treat her and her daughter right.
