Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham Got Plastic Surgery Because People Mocked Her Looks

Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham already sold this story to In Touch Weekly to whom she revealed her surgeries cost a total of $21,000 including a boob job, chin implant, and nose job. And her plastic surgeon has given an interview talking about their consultation and Abraham getting the chin implant after the doctor’s suggestion/ the doctor making her insecure about it.
And now Abraham’s explaining her self some more. The 21-year-old insists that she doesn’t have low self-esteem. However, she says in the same breath that she got plastic surgery because of negative comments made about her looks. Which makes it sound as though that criticism damaged her self-esteem. She expounds, she was tired of the negativity and self image so she did something about it.
Abraham… did open up to Us Weekly about why she decided to alter her face. (This wasn’t the first time Abraham has gone under the knife for cosmetic reasons; in 2011, the mom to Sophia, 3, paid $5,000 for a breast augmentation going from an A to a C cup.)
“I waited a lot of years and I dealt with a lot of criticism about certain things on my face, and once I turned 21 I still felt that I wanted to change that, so I did,” the Iowa native explained. “I’m done with thinking about [it] and I don’t have to think about my face. I just put makeup on, or not, and I go.”
Abraham emphasized that it wasn’t anything self-esteem related that convinced her to make such dramatic changes. “I’ve always been confident,” she shared. “[People’s comments were] just something that annoyed me.”
So how have other folks… and her loved ones, in particular… reacted to her new look?
“My friends and family don’t care,” she told Us, explaining that they haven’t really had many conversations about it at all. “I don’t like to talk about my looks. I’m just like ‘Hi, bye.’ I don’t really care.” – via Us Weekly Magazine.
