Teresa Giudice Attends Book Signing Hours After Pleading Not Guilty To Fraud And Tax Evasion Charges

Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe appeared in a New Jersey courtroom on Wednesday morning where they pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud and tax evasion. The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple was charged last month in a 39-count indictment with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications, and bankruptcy fraud and are currently out on $500,000 bail.

Following their brief court appearance, Teresa arrived at the nearby Posche Boutique for a previously scheduled book signing. While there, Teresa spoke with Entertainment Tonight, explaining that she’s proceeding with business as usual for the sake of her children. ”I’m not going to stop working,” Teresa said. “It’s a good example to show to my daughters that Mommy’s a businesswoman and hopefully they’ll follow in my footsteps.”

Speaking of being a businesswoman, Teresa reportedly has an exciting new venture in the works. Shortly after news of her and Joe’s indictment broke, In Touch reported that the reality star and author had been planning to open a cupcake shop and was even scouting out locations. Unfortunately, their legal troubles put an end to that. Still, Teresa is positive about getting into the food industry at some point. ”We’ll see what happens,” she told ET.

Teresa’s lawyer, Miles Feinstein, also spoke out after the pair made their courthouse exit on Wednesday, telling Philly.com that he is glad that Teresa and Joe aren’t stopping their life because of the trial. “We have told them to continue life as they’ve lived it. They have contracts with Bravo and others, and they shouldn’t imprison themselves,” he said. ”[Teresa]‘s concerned, but she’s taking care of business, taking care of her children, getting ready for school.”

Teresa’s full interview with Entertainment Tonight will air later this evening.
