The Avengers Movie Has Its First Trailer – About Time Or Meh?

The Avengers trailer hit today after weeks of people salivating with only the Captain America end credits teaser to whet their appetites. It’s been met with mixed reviews of ‘Meh,’ and ‘Is this what I’ve been waiting for?’ It’s not an awful trailer, it just looks budget in places and it feels anticlimactic.

So, there’s Jeremy Renner with some of the most interesting weaponry; Robert Downey Jr. who’s delivering 99% of the witticisms; Scarlett Johansson, who’s going to have to field questions about her nudes in front of male co-stars while promoting this thing, doing what she did in Iron Man 2; Chris Hemsworth’s wig is longer and he finally gets to show off his guns; Chris Evans needs to lay off the foundation; Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is the same CGI animation as the Eric Bana incarnation; Tom Hiddleston is an underused caricature; Samual L. Jackson is also an underused caricature.
