The Bachelor Season 17 Episode Two Recap: Part Two
January 15, 2013 by Coco Liberty
Sarah is given a rose and, again, her worth is validated. She’s “already falling in love with him” after one date, really?
Group Date #2: Kristy, Amanda, Brooke, Leslie M, Daniella, Catherine, Robyn, Katie, Selma, Diana, Taryn, Kacie B, and Tierra were all invited to capture the romance with Sean while on a romance novel photo shoot.
Kristy (Courtney 2.0) had this one in the bag due to her modeling experience and her enthusiasm was hard to miss. Tierra (our villain, Vienna 2.0) is already throwing shade at the girls and Robyn makes fun of Tierra’s voice. Even Robyn’s hairstylists says “tacky hos are a dime a dozen,” can that be the title of the show? During Tierra’s monologues, she goes on and on about how she’s only here for Sean not to make friends. Ironically, while Sean and Tierra are talking, he says, “you’re sweet, I don’t think you have a catty side.” We will see later about that!
The photo shoots take place and Leslie M already has a very strong chemistry with Sean. They’re the first to kiss on the film. The girls are divided into four groups of cowgirls, vampires, sexy, and historical. Kristy and Sean also have chemistry and Sean likes that she takes the reins. Kristy is a model with eight years of experience and it shows. She ultimately wins the three novel photo shoots to be featured on the cover.
After the shoot, the girls run around trying to talk to Sean while enjoying drinks and making catty comments. Tierra is moping around and upset that she has to compete with all these girls. Does she not know the concept of The Bachelor? Katie, our yoga instructor, is also unaware of the concept of the show and realizes this isn’t for her. Sean walks her to the limo and that leaves one more spot for the potential girls.
Leslie M isn’t as subdued as Katie and goes for what she wants! She has a great conversation with Sean except that, apparently, “her body language sucks” and she wasn’t able to get him to kiss her. Sean says, “Leslie and I connected during the photo shoot in my mind… It’s the perfect opportunity to kiss her, but every time it’s about to happen she gets nervous and changes the conversation to the weather.” Eventually, Leslie M interrupts another girl’s time with Sean. She pulls him in for a make out session.
Kacie B is given the rose for the night. Sean and Kacie B have realized that they’re more than just friends after the New York City Bachelor event. They want to explore their possibilities. She says, “I thought I didn’t want another rose in my life and now I’m hoping for ten more.” She’s cute and very into Sean, so I hope it works out.
Catherine and Sean have time to talk and you can see a spark there.
Sean talks to Selma and she says “I love the way you say “my wife” it’s so genuine and romantic… So beautiful coming out of your mouth.” When would you ever feel comfortable saying that to a guy? Seriously, she needs to listen to what comes out of her mouth.
Next date, Desiree is taken to a fake art gallery where Sean has some fun at her expense. He wants to see if she has a sense of humor and pulls a prank on her. Actors are helping out at the gallery and Desiree is left in a room where a sculpture that is allegedly worth $1.5 million falls. She is speechless and keeps telling the artist that she didn’t do it. Then Sean comes in to save the day and tells her that it was a prank. She laughs and this shows Sean that she does well in uncomfortable situations, which he believes shows a lot about a person’s character.
The cocktail party before the rose ceremony is a last minute dash to make an impression on Sean. The girls get into their usual catty banter while saving face in front of Sean. Sean is too sweet to notice. At the rose ceremony, he eliminates Brooke and Diana. The crazy wedding dress girl was given a rose and the crier, Taryn, as well.
