The Bachelor Season 17 Episode Four Recap: Part Two

January 29, 2013 by Coco Liberty

Need to add from the previous post, Tierra gives the most malicious creepy smile as Sean walks away to get the rose. At that moment, she knows she manipulated him and I can’t wait for her villainous ways to be revealed. Sean will definitely have one of those “What am I doing here? Can I really find love?” moments that happens every season of The Bachelor/Bachelorette.

Sean’s final date of the week is Leslie H and she’s living out every girl’s fantasy, “Pretty Woman.” Diamond earrings are dropped off for Leslie and you can see the other girls are very jealous. Sean rides up in a Mercedes convertible and they’re off to shop on Rodeo Drive. Leslie picks out a dress, heels, and a purse. The date is centered on romance and Sean is looking to see if they have that kind of connection. After playing dress up, Sean takes Leslie to Neil Lane, who single-handedly creates all of the Bachelor jewelry and lets Leslie borrow a 120 carat diamond necklace. Leslie says, she “feels more like a woman than I ever have.” What does that mean? All you needed was a dress and jewelry and that makes a woman? They now connect on a superficial level by dressing the part and have dinner to see if there is a deeper connection.

Sean is prying into her personal life and trying to get her to open up. Leslie says she’s really guarded, but there isn’t time for that if you want to distinguish yourself from the rest of the girls. She talks about her past relationships and how she dated someone for seven years, but it didn’t work out. Sean can relate to that. She gives the typical hallmark card answer about wanting a loyal, charismatic, caring, and driven husband. Sean isn’t feeling it. He says, “She is a joy to be around but the connection isn’t there. I know she’s a phenomena girl.” That is code for, “Where is the kiss?” So Sean lets her go and there is the most awkward necklace return I’ve ever seen. She gives him the necklace back, is eliminated from the show, and her consolation prize is the diamond earrings. In my opinion, I’d be happy with the earrings and getting out early.

Now it’s cocktail time, which is my favorite part of the show.  The claws come out and the desperation sets in. Again, it’s seal it with a kiss time. AshLee has a good conversation with Sean and their connection seems real since she opened up on her last date about her past. Robyn goes in for the kiss, which is an easy ploy for Sean’s heart. Tierra talks to Sean about how she’s a victim among the girls because they’re causing the drama around her. Girl needs to get real! I would love to see her live in a sorority house for a year. That’s more drama than ABC can show on national TV. Catherine finally develops her relationship with Sean and goes in for the kiss as well. Time for the rose ceremony and Catherine, Lindsay, Desiree, Lesley M, Robyn, AshLee, Jackie, Sarah, and Daniella are safe. Along with Leslie H, Amanda is eliminated and no amount of sympathy could keep her in the game.
