The Divorce Rages On for Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy
Former Real Housewives star turned talk show host and drink mogul, Bethenny Frankel, is going through a rough divorce with Jason Hoppy.
The couple married in 2010 and it was the first marriage for both. However, things went sour in January 2013 when she filed for a divorce.
It has been seven months since the divorce was announced yet the brutal war is still raging on. The once playful couple are now going head-to-head and both refusing to back down.
According to US Weekly, at their divorce hearing, the ex-lovebirds sat just feet apart for five hours and did not exchange a single word. Frankel and Hoppy have multiple issues at hand to face: the custody of Bryn, $8.1 million from the sales of Frankel’s Skinnygirl cocktail line, and the ownership of their $5 million New York City condo. Seven months after the split, Hoppy is still refusing to move out of the condo claiming he wants to stay with their daughter Bryn. Bethenny has started staying in hotels throughout the city in order to get some quiet time with her beloved Bryn. Hoppy is delighted at this because him staying shows that he has equal responsibility for Bryn which could benefit him in the fight for custody.
Frankel has taken to Twitter to vent. In a tweet posted on July 1 she writes, “When i connect with my girlfriends, i realize we’re all hanging on by a thread: sick children, marriage stress, finances etc.” As the battle continues, she will have to stay strong as Hoppy is not going down without a fight.
