The Kardashian E! Special: Boundries and Yoga-Inspired Weddings
After six years of being the poster family for reality shows, the Kardashian/Jenners have finally decided to let it all hang out. On Sunday, Ryan Seacrest with the Kardashians:An E! News Presentation aired.
The most entertaining parts of the special were Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick segments. Never known to hold anything back, the parents of 3-year old Mason and 9-month-old Penelope talked openly about everything from having their relationship play out in front of the cameras to an infamous drive the 101 Los Angeles freeway. The couple also discussed their lack of desire to get married in the near future. Adding that, if and when they do get married, they have some very unique ideas.
“She goes, ‘Doll, I’m thinking if we ever got married, it would be really cool if we did it in a yoga way’… I was like ‘Wait, what?’ She’s like ‘everybody on a mat meditating’,” Scott said. Kourtney then added, “Let’s do it super cool, like, everyone chilling out- not on yoga mats-everyone feeling super chill and like just relaxing.”
Before Kourtney put it all out in front of the camera, the eldest sibling was not so sure about the whole reality show venture. Kris recalled that the family decided if they were going to do a reality show… it had to be all or nothing.
“We made a pact and said we’re gonna let it all hang out, let’s just our thing and be ourselves and people will see who we really are,” Kris said.
Seven seasons and four spin-offs later, the family has definitely evolved in front of the world – whether it was Khloe and Kendall discussing the teenager’s menstrual cycle, the birth of Mason, Rob’s weight gain or the rise and fall of Kim’s marriages – while they have no regrets, they also realize they just might need some boundaries.
“I don’t have any regrets…I don’t know if I really have boundaries, I mean I kinda show anything and everything, it’s more I have priorities,” Khloe said.
Kim seems to be learning about boundaries and priorities too. She said that, although Kanye West enjoys watching the show, his busy schedule won’t allow for him to be a part of filming… which could actually work in her favor, seeing as how her last relationship played out in front of the cameras.
Endorsement deals, clothing lines and publicity aside, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and the rest of the bunch all agreed that if they gain anything from the show, it is the ability to connect with people around the world.
“I think it’s all about the love we have for each other and no matter what is happening…they [viewers] see that love or they have that love with their families,” Kourtney said.
