The Real Housewives Of New Jersey To Axe Jacqueline, Downgrade Kathy, And Take A Break From Caroline?
September 25, 2013 by Lindsay Cronin
The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s fifth season is coming to a close this Sunday on Bravo and as fans prepare to say goodbye to the ladies until next season, rumors of a major cast shake-up have hit the web. Not only is one particular cast member getting the boot, fans will also see less of two of the remaining women.
According to Rumorfix‘s Real Mr. Housewife, Jacqueline Laurita has been axed and won’t return, in any capacity, to the show’s upcoming season. As for the women who fans won’t be getting to see quite as much of, they would be Caroline Manzo and Kathy Wakile — but for very different reasons.
Caroline and her family have just signed on for their own spinoff show, Manzo’d With Children, which will likely begin shooting in the next few weeks (if it hasn’t yet). So, her role on The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been reduced in order to cater to the needs of production on her new show.
Kathy, on the other hand, is going to return only as a friend of the Housewives as opposed to an official housewife as she’s been for the last three seasons.
Regarding the new housewife, it is unclear who it will be. Thus far, all that is known is that the mystery woman isn’t someone who is completely new to the franchise.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s season 5 finale airs this Sunday night followed by a special live episode of Watch What Happens Live during which Teresa and Joe Giudice will open up about their recent indictment as well as what lies ahead.
