Was Jacqueline Laurita Really Fired From RHONJ?
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast is reportedly heading for a major shakeup, and Jacqueline Laurita seems to be at the center of the madness. Last month, it was said that Jacqueline had not been asked to return to the show for the upcoming sixth season and yesterday, it was reported that Dina Manzo’s highly talked about return would only happen if Jacqueline got the boot (which Dina denied). Now, there is new information surfacing which claims that Jacqueline may still be part of the show.
“Technically Jax is NOT officially off the show,” a source close to the show revealed to Huffington Post’s Tom Murro. “But IF Jax is off, which hasn’t been confirmed yet, but if she is, you may continue to see Chris pop up during the season for a few more episodes.”
The “Chris” that the source is referring to would be Jacqueline’s husband, Chris Laurita. During the show’s finale episode, Chris, Jacqueline, and Joe Gorga, Melissa’s husband, were involved in a bloody brawl that wasn’t shown in full. Since the episode left off with a cliffhanger, it is likely that the show will re-address the issue when it returns, which means both Chris and Jacqueline’s participation may be necessary.
However, in an odd twist, it is now being reported that Jacqueline may not want to come back to the show.
“She has been trying to get off the show for a couple of seasons now but her contract has not permitted her to do that,” the source explained. “Contracts tie you in for many years and you can’t leave before then unless they mutually agree with you that you can or you will be in breach of your contract.”
Either way, it sounds like Jacqueline’s return is much more of a possibility than reports had previously led on. Adds the source, “Jacqueline, Chris, and or Caroline may be making an appearance to resolve unresolved conflicts with certain cast members.”
