Terrible Mothers Doing Terrible Things: Woman Films Her Toddler Smoking Pot From A Bong
In another account of terrible judgement from another young woman, a mother filmed herself giving drugs to her toddler.
Authorities in Centralia, Washington are investigating video that allegedly shows Rachelle Braaten, 24, letting her 22-month-old son smoke from a bong.
When questioned by police, Braateen admitted: “Well, it was like, you can’t see in the camera, but the person taking it, and then there was like a group of people there. And I guess it was a joke and a stupid mistake that wasn’t really funny.”
She was subsequently arrested and faces charges of manufacture of marijuana and delivery of a controlled substance to a minor.
She insists the boy is unharmed but, asked how she felt, she replied “horrible… because he’s two, and he shouldn’t have known about that. He shouldn’t have that in his body.”
Police say they found 40 marijuana plants at the woman’s home.
The boy’s father, Braaten’s fiance, Tyler Lee, told authorities that he smoked marijuana for medicinal reasons. He too was arrested after allegedly confessing he also sold the marijuana to a dispensary.
Lee said he wasn’t there when the boy unknowingly took a hit off the bong.
Lee was jailed over the weekend, but he was released Monday pending the filing of charges. As for Braaten, she remains in jail, held on $5,000 bail.
Child protective services took Braaten’s boy and placed him protective care along with her 5-year-old child. – via RadarOnline.
