Truck Used for Promoting Katy Perry’s New Album Hit by Drunk Driver
August 10, 2013 by Mike Siegel
According to TMZ, the gold truck that Katy Perry hired to promote her new album, Prism, which comes out this October, was hit by a drunk driver earlier today. No, Katy Perry was not in the truck at the time. Yes, everybody is thankfully fine.
The front cabin of the 28-year-old singer’s promotional truck was struck in a parking lot at Walmart in Pennsylvania by a semi-truck, TMZ reported. There was a lot of damage done to the truck, as one would assume. However, no one was injured nor killed at the time of the incident.
The driver of the truck was actually inside Walmart when the accident occurred. The driver of the semi-truck is now currently going through the process of being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Clap, clap clap. The driver even tried to turn the incident into a hit and run at first by leaving the scene, but fled back knowing it was better to stay than stray, police reported to TMZ. Seriously, hold all of your applause. Let’s just be grateful that no one was injured or killed.
Aside from this cuckoo incident, Perry seems to be doing just fine. Prism is set to be released on October 22 and will surely impress…hopefully.
